Our founders.
Amanda and Will Hasley founded Crozet Avenue Christian Preschool on the idea that every child is worthy of growing up in a space where they can be surrounded by love, wonder, and play. In particular, Amanda and Will wanted children in the surrounding areas to have a preschool experience right in the center of downtown Crozet, a lovely walkable community geared toward families and friends.
Amanda (BA, UVa) has been an elementary school teaching assistant, a home school teacher for international students, and a mother of three daughters – she’s also one of our lead teachers! In her spare time, Amanda does story time at the local Bluebird & Co. bookstore, volunteers at Crozet Elementary, sings at Crozet UMC, and enjoys pilates workouts.
Will (BS, UVa; M.Div, Duke Divinity) is currently a Corporate Accountant at the University of Virginia Investment Management Company, but he also happens to be an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church. During his time in ministry settings, Will worked in congregational care, founded a campus ministry, and served as CFO of a missions organization. In his spare time, serves on the Board of UVa Wesley and suffers through weekday morning group workouts.
Crozet Avenue Christian Preschool was founded in June 2023, thanks to an incredible group of parents and teachers who banded together after the closing of one of Crozet’s longstanding preschools. Within 100 days, all the steps had been completed for Crozet Avenue to open as the newest preschool in the area. Though Amanda and Will get to have the title of “founders,” the truth is that the community of Crozet founded this preschool out of love for our local children.
